Raytek line of noncontact infrared thermometers has grown with the introduction of the MI3 Series. The MI3 Series represents a new generation of performance and innovation in noncontact temperature monitoring for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) applications and manufacturing processes.
Its significant new features include:

  • a broad choice of sensing head temperature ranges and spectral responses,
  • a standard USB 2.0 digital interface for easy sensor set-up and configuration,
  • a fully programmable electronics platform
  • response times as fast as 20 mSec.

Brian Sharpe of Applied Measurement & Control has been given The Tristan Williams Sales Excellence Award for 2008 by Fluid Components International (FCI).
Art Womack, a Sales Manager for FCI nominated Sharpe. “Based on my experience working with Brian, he is an exceptional individual that personifies the spirit of integrity, persistence and enthusiasm associated with this award.”
Womack went on to say, “Based on my calls with him, he (Brian) is well received by all of his customers. They have come to rely upon Brian for input on all applications regarding flow because they know that he will not mislead them just to make an order. His technical knowledge of products and applications allows him to see opportunities with customers that others may disregard. When working with Brian by either phone or in person, I personally come away from my dealings with him energized because of the excitement and drive that he constantly demonstrates.”
Brian Sharpe, pictured on the right, joined Applied Measurement & Control in 1986, and became a co-owner in 1991. To better serve AM&C’s eastern New York customers, Brian relocated to the Albany area in 1995. AM&C is focused on the sales of process controls and instrumentation. 2008 is the inaugural year for the Tristan Williams Sales Excellence Award. This award honors Mr. Williams, who before his untimely death in 2007, had earned a reputation for outstanding enthusiasm, ethics, and treatment of customers and his employer. Tristan Williams represented (FCI) for 21 years before falling unexpectedly ill at age 56.

Applied Measurement & Control is pleased to announce Justin Beleal has joined the AM&C’s Customer Service Team.

From our Victor, NY office, Justin will provide AM&C’s customers with order processing, and expediting. Justin will also be working closely with our field Sales representatives to generate quotations and project proposals for their customers.

Justin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from SUNY Fredonia, graduating Summa Cum Laude in January 2006.
