FlameGard® UV/IR Flame Detector
The FlameGard UV/IR Flame Detector constantly monitors for the ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) radiation that all hydrocarbon-fueled fires and flames emit. When radiation is detected, the FlameGard Flame Detector activates a relay, indicating a fire or flame exists. This relay can be part of a fire alarm loop or connected to a distributed control system (DCS).
